Resilience. Courage. Discipline. Honor.

The path of honor is never easy, but it's always worth it. Together, we race for those who can't, pushing beyond limits to honor their sacrifice.

Escape. Evade. Exfil.

The Ryan Larkin Invitational Adventure Race (RLIAR) is a 3-day military simulation race testing 10 elite teams of 4 across 62 miles of Colorado's wilderness from Montrose to Telluride. This tactical simulation challenges teams to escape and evade through rugged terrain while navigating toward a designated extraction point, undertaking strategic objectives throughout their journey. Teams face secret military-style challenges including navigation, leadership scenarios, team decision-making, performance under pressure, and field competence. These optional point-earning tasks measure field competence, leadership, and team cohesion while building camaraderie and pushing beyond physical and mental limits across Colorado's rugged Western Slope. Each team will be equipped with military-style high precision long range tactical awareness GPS tracking devices to ensure safety and enable real-time coordination. Donors will have real-time access to an interactive map displaying the position and track of each team. Racers arrive for Registration Day on June 11, and the race runs June 12-14, 2026. Meals are provided. Only the most prepared teams finish.

Endure. Prevail.

Every team that finishes earns a medal. Teams must complete each day together: Day 1 (17.75 miles), Day 2 (27.38 miles), and Day 3 (16.04 miles). Daily rest at the end of each day's distance is required and is considered for success. Teams must start and finish together every day. Medal Standards: Bronze — Finish Day 1. Silver — Finish Day 1 and Day 2. Gold — Complete all 3 days. Platinum — Complete all 3 days and earn the highest total points combining race time and challenge points. Only one team wins the coveted Platinum Medal.

Sleep. Restore. Conquer.

Impact

The Ryan Larkin Invitational Adventure Race (RLIAR) 501(c)(3) creates lasting impact through challenge, resilience, and community, honoring fallen heroes while building stronger bonds among participants. The event supports two critical programs that transform lives. The 62Romeo SLEEP101 program provides 8-week intensive scholarships for Veterans and First Responders, helping thousands recover from chronic stress by rebuilding healthy sleep and restoring the nervous system. This recovery reduces risks of suicide, heart disease, and cancer. Happy Canyon Ranch offers 5-day healing retreat scholarships for Veterans, combining nature, community, and science-backed recovery to restore strength, clarity, and connection. Together, these programs support long-term wellness and healing for those who served.
